Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

By using Meridian, you agree to these Terms. Meridian requires no sign-up: using the application at all, logging work, generating a report, or asking the AI assistant a question, counts as acceptance.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Meridian, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Meridian Is

Meridian is a work-analytics and reporting tool. It runs in your browser and stores your logged work locally on your device. You may optionally connect a Google Sheet as a data source, and optionally subscribe to a paid plan for an AI assistant, powered by Anthropic's Claude API, that generates summaries and answers questions about your logged data.

Meridian is a productivity tool, not financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. AI-generated summaries and recommendations are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete, always review them, and the underlying data, before relying on them or sharing them with a third party (e.g. a client or employer).

3. No Account Required

Meridian does not require you to register, sign up, or create a password. There is no login. Your data is stored locally in your browser unless you choose to connect an external data source, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the security of the device and browser you use to access Meridian.

5. Refunds and Cancellation

Both the Monthly and Annual plan are one-time Razorpay charges that unlock AI features in your browser for a fixed period (30 or 365 days). There is no auto-renewal to cancel. If you want a refund, contact us within 14 days of paying for a full refund, no questions asked. See our full Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use Meridian to:

7. Enforcement

Because there is no account system, enforcement applies at the request/API level rather than to a user profile. If we detect abuse of the AI assistant or backend API, we may block the offending requests (e.g. by IP address or session), without notice, for as long as necessary to protect the service. This has no effect on your locally stored data or your ability to use the parts of Meridian that don't call our servers.

8. Your Data

You own your data. Meridian processes it only to provide the features you use. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is processed and where it goes. We will never sell your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

Meridian is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Meridian after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
